Dan and Emily wanted a contemporary Shaker kitchen that would blend effortlessly with their open-plan living space while creating a welcoming and cosy atmosphere. They wanted a design that maximised the natural light streaming in through their patio doors, establishing a seamless connection between the interior and the garden. A fully tailored design was essential, with intricate details that reflected their unique tastes and preferences. The challenge was to deliver a kitchen that fulfilled these aspirations, combining bespoke, high-quality elements with a design that felt both timeless and modern, ensuring it complemented the overall style of their home.

DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS

The Shaker cabinetry, painted in Farrow & Ball’s deep “Railings” hue, creates a striking contrast against the elegant Carrara marble worktops. Exposed brickwork and industrial-inspired pendant lights from Buster & Punch add a contemporary, urban flair to the open-plan space, while sleek bar stools complete the stylish yet welcoming atmosphere, perfect for entertaining. A cleverly concealed door, seamlessly integrated into the cabinetry, opens to reveal a home office, blending practicality with design. This kitchen not only fulfilled the brief but surpassed expectations, delivering a space that combines sophistication, flexibility, and bespoke detailing, making it the centrepiece of Dan and Emily’s home.
