Contemporary Kitchen with Striking Yellow Details

Contemporary Kitchen with Striking Yellow Details

Chelmsford

PROJECT OVERVIEW

In their 1930s detached village home, Lucy and Arun sought to transform their kitchen into a bold, contemporary space that harmonised with the vintage charm of their mid-century dining table and dresser. They envisioned a design that combined vibrant colours with eye-catching details while incorporating a casual table and benches for informal family gatherings and morning coffees. To complete the look, they wanted their metallic pendant lights and mirrors to blend seamlessly into the overall design, adding a touch of elegance and cohesion to their newly reimagined space.

DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS

This kitchen design pairs bold Diamond Graphite cabinetry with crisp Designer White Corian worktops to create a sophisticated yet striking look. A vibrant yellow feature wall, accompanied by a matching glass splashback, injects a sense of energy and personality into the space. The copper extractor, cleverly designed to resemble a modern pendant light, serves as a unique focal point. The rich tones of the dark walnut parquet flooring provide a warm and grounding element, perfectly complementing the mid-century furniture and tying the entire design together into a stylish and cohesive space.

“We had such a fantastic experience with The Essex Kitchen Company! Alex was incredibly patient and took the time to really understand what we were looking for, offering endless support throughout the process. The installation team was equally brilliant, working efficiently and accommodating our schedule perfectly. Weโ€™re absolutely thrilled with our new kitchen and couldnโ€™t be happier with the service we received!”
